Shanghai, September 23, 2025 — At the 25th China International Industrial Fair (CIIF), Siemens presented a comprehensive display of its systematic pathway for implementing industrial AI, under the theme "Integration of Digital and Real Worlds, New Intelligence for Growth." As a pioneer in industrial AI applications, Siemens showcased an all-encompassing layout ranging from insights into the current state of industrial agents to practical application cases.

On the first day of the fair, Siemens jointly released the "2025 Industrial Agent Trend Outlook Report" with Zhiding Think Tank, revealing the current status and challenges of industrial agent application in manufacturing. Simultaneously, the inaugural pilot application in China of Siemens' generative industrial AI assistant, Industrial Copilot, was unveiled, demonstrating quantifiable efficiency improvements.

Three Major Challenges for Industrial Agent Deployment

Dubbed the "Year of the Agent," 2025 still sees significant obstacles in the practical deployment of industrial agents. A Siemens and Zhiding Think Tank survey of 200 industrial enterprises revealed that while over 80% recognize the value of industrial agents in enhancing production efficiency and reducing operational costs, 43% have not yet deployed any industrial agents, and only 8% have achieved multi-scenario application.

The report identified three primary constraints hindering enterprise deployment: high costs, a lack of professional talent, and insufficient technological maturity. Additionally, enterprises generally prioritize stability and reliability as core considerations when evaluating industrial agent adoption.

First Pilot Results of Industrial Copilot

At the fair, Siemens jointly unveiled a new generation of EMB intelligent assembly equipment for new energy vehicles with Zhongke Motong. This equipment represents the first pilot application in China of Siemens' generative industrial AI assistant, Industrial Copilot.

During equipment debugging, Industrial Copilot assisted engineers in automated program development, significantly reducing repetitive tasks. Practical application data showed that Industrial Copilot helped Zhongke Motong reduce program development time by 30%, shorten the production line debugging cycle by 30%, and lower labor and material waste by 10%.

Zhongke Motong, an AI-driven national-level "Little Giant" enterprise, is committed to building flexible automation large models. Through this collaboration, Siemens will provide a solid digital foundation for its future integrated intelligent equipment solutions.

Full-Stack Products Strengthen Industrial AI Foundation

The full-stack software and hardware products and solutions exhibited by Siemens aim to help enterprises break down barriers between IT and OT, allowing data to flow freely across product production, operation, and decision-making processes.

Several new members of the Siemens product family debuted at the fair, further solidifying the hardware and software foundation for industrial AI adoption.

• SIMATIC ET 200BL Distributed I/O System: Can be rapidly deployed without complex configuration, significantly reducing engineering difficulty and investment costs.

• SMART LINE PLUS Touch Panels: Expanded third-party device compatibility allows direct import of PLC variables from TIA Portal project files, significantly reducing configuration time.

• BFC Baishuda 3.0 Industrial IoT Connectivity Software: Aims to break down OT-IT data barriers and boasts multi-brand device compatibility.

Siemens also launched the FMT020 electromagnetic flow transmitter designed for the Chinese market, the ultra-low-voltage mechatronic solution SIMOTICS E DC servo series, and the 5S COM intelligent terminal power distribution products.

Ecosystem Layout and Industry Future

Addressing the challenges of industrial agent adoption, Siemens provides systematic solutions through comprehensive technological and ecosystem布局. To ensure safety and reliability, Siemens has embedded centuries of industrial knowledge into safety standards and process models within the agent's decision-making logic, verified through digital twin technology.

Through the open digital business platform Siemens Xcelerator, Siemens has connected 530,000 users in China and gathered over 300 ecosystem partners, more than 60% of whom are AI-related, fostering an open and collaborative innovation ecosystem.
