The 6ES7431-1KF00-0AB0 model product is the SM431 analog input module of Siemens S7-400 series PLC, with an 8-channel potential isolation design, supporting voltage (± 10V, ± 1V, 1-5V), current (± 20mA, 4-20mA), and resistance (0-600 Ω) signal inputs, compatible with 2-wire/3-wire/4-wire sensor connections, and supporting Pt100 and other thermal resistance measurements. Its 13 bit resolution and 23-25ms conversion time (typical value) can meet the real-time monitoring needs of temperature, pressure, flow and other parameters in industrial process control. The module has built-in anti common mode interference (UCM>100dB) and series mode interference suppression functions, and ensures signal safety between channels and the backplane bus through electrical isolation design. It is suitable for industrial control cabinet environments with IP20 protection level. It has been replaced by the S7-1500 series 6ES7531-7KF00-0AB0 model, but is still in circulation in the second-hand market. It is compatible with PROFIBUS/PROFINET gateway to connect with the new generation controller.

Adopting S7-400 rack installation method, it needs to be used in conjunction with PS power module and CPU, with a protection level of IP20, suitable for installation environment inside the control cabinet.
Electrical isolation and common mode rejection:
The analog part is isolated from the CPU, and the maximum allowable common mode voltage between the reference potential of the channel and the sensor connected to the MANA is AC30V, effectively suppressing interference signals.
Connection and configuration:
When measuring voltage/current, connect the signal line through specific terminals; When measuring resistance, it is necessary to connect the thermal resistance leads to the corresponding terminals according to the specifications, and support parallel adjustment of multiple measurement ranges.
Substitution and Compatibility:
This model has been discontinued and replaced by the 6ES7531-7KF00-0AB0 (S7-1500 series). It needs to be connected to the new generation controller through a PROFIBUS/PROFINET gateway.
Calibration and maintenance:
The calibration cycle is once every 6 months, and aging components may cause signal drift, requiring regular maintenance to ensure measurement accuracy.
