A versatile and robust Fibre Optic Sensor/Amplifier, which forms part of Keyence’s FS-N (FS-NEO) series, is easy to install and setup with a single click that calibrates sensitivity and resets the display. This optical sensor/amplifier features, ample beam power and accuracy, an easy to read display, a PNP output and an automatic maintenance function that detects light intensity due to dirt or misalignment. A power boost function that can switch the sensor to its highest setting can be easily selected using a dip switch.
This feature cancels the effects of the ambient environment, enabling the sensor to continue to perform and returns the sensor to its original display state, reducing maintenance and setup time. An instant alarm readout alerts the user to potential issues while the sensor is in operation.
These sensors can be slotted together easily, reducing installation space and up to 16 sensors can be linked together. When adding sensors, the power is supplied from the connector
The fibre optic sensor can be calibrated from a PLC or other external devices, and changeover time can be reduced even when sensor settings must be changed frequently. Regularly using the preset function from an external input ensures uninterrupted, stable detection, even in harsh environments. This function is useful when using multiple sensors, allowing you to quickly locate sensors that have become dirty or misaligned.
