The Allen-Bradley 1785-LT is the catalog number for the classic PLC-5 programmable controller from the Allen-Bradley 1785 series of controllers. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation processor can be used in a system intended for centralized control or a system made for distributed control.The 1785-LT PLC-5 controller features a SRAM memory of 6 Kilowords which can be further expanded to 10 or even to 14 Kilowords. This classic PLC-5 processor can be used in a special scanner mode in order to scan and control I/O links. The main purpose of the processor when in scanner mode is to read the memory file of the processor in order to read a specific input or to control the outputs.
