 The 1756-M03SE is a ControlLogix SERCOS interface module. This module is capable of interfacing up to Three (3) drives with data rate of 4 Mbps and 8 Mbps. It is capable of implementing drive control modes such as Position, velocity, and torque control. This module is installed to any ControlLogix Chassis.

The Allen-Bradley 1756-M03SE is a SERCOS interface module that connects the controller to SERCOS interface drives. It has 3 axes available that is compatible with the Kinetix 2000 Servo drive. It uses a single, digital, fiber-optic link that eliminates as many as 18 digital wires per axis. It also lets you control digital drives by using high-speed, real-time serial communication. The drive control modes available with the 1756-M03SE module are position, velocity, and torque.

Before installing this module, it is important to install and ground the ControlLogix chassis it will be connected to first, as well as a ControlLogix power supply, and have the required fiber optic cables wires required for its installation. This is because the wires will be used to connect the drives and the module. The ControlLogix chassis compatible with this module are the 1756-A4, 1756-A7, 1756-A10, 1756-A13, and the 1756-A17. The module can be installed in any available slot of the chassis and has an open-type enclosure.
